Brief History
Piping and Equipment was established in January
1969. The doors were opened with three warehouses in three states.
The company was formed under the leadership of Roger A. Patterson, Sr.
The emphasis of the new organization was excellence in performance, the
pursuit of which began with the hiring of a select staff.
We have enjoyed a long-term association with major PVF manufacturers.
This relationship began with the founders of our company and continues today.
These major manufacturers were instrumental in the formation of
P&E:

Neles-Jamesbury
Powell Valve
Vogt
Swepco
USS
As our reputation for quality and reliability grew, so did our company.
Our founders recognized early on that proximity was a key role in
customer service. Our locations are strategically placed near the hubs of the industries
we serve.

Since 1969,
Piping and Equipment, Inc.
has been an industry leader in the distribution of industrial pipe,
valves, fittings, gauges, thermometers, steam traps, hangers, and other
related equipment.

Our motto, "Pride in
Excellence", is the result of our Total Quality Program. The program started in
1987 and has gained Piping and Equipment recognition as one the nation's most respected
"quality" PVF distributors. Piping and Equipment in Houston, Texas, has
been awarded a certificate of registration in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 by
QMI - SAI Global.

In 1995 Piping and Equipment
joined Affiliated Distributors.
This association enables us to offer a customer-driven, single source solution that will
reduce total procurement, inventory, and distribution costs while improving service to the
end user.
